Sunny Saturday (16 images)

During a typical Seattle winter, every so often we are
blessed with a few glorious sunny days - such as the one we enjoyed on
a recent Saturday in February. Although a cold wind blew down from
Canada, producing wind chill near freezing, we were not about to waste
this opportunity to soak up copious amounts of vitamin D. One of the
few Seattle neighborhoods we have not spent time in is Beacon Hill -
now easily accessible via Link light rail. So we rode the train to
Beacon Hill station then explored the surrounding area on foot. The
view from the 12th Avenue overlook is, as these photos show, pretty
spectacular. We then rode the train back downtown and got off in
Chinatown. It was time for Brittany to experience her first authentic
Dim Sum meal - and it was great. We ended our afternoon mingling with
the assembled hordes at sunset near Pike Place market.
