As a sort of combined birthday, wedding anniversary, and end of summer celebration we decided to visit San Francisco. This was the second visit to the City by the Bay for Paul & Jennie, the first visit for Brittany. Paul & Jennie celebrated their 24th anniversary during the trip, and Brittany recently turned 12. The 70 photos in this album represent almost everything we did and saw, although for some unknown reason our camera remained pocketed during our anniversary dinner on our last evening. Anyway, there's all the usual San Francisco sights: Fisherman's Wharf, Cable Cars, Redwood Trees, Haight-Ashbury, to name just a few of the highlights. If you haven't visited this wonderful city we hope our photos will help inspire a decision to go - it is truly one of America's best places.

Some logistic suggestions:

To be centrally located for the city's attractions & neighborhoods stay as close to Union Square as budget will allow (we stayed at Hilton via Travelocity package)
Use BART (subway/tube) to get from SFO airport to Powell & Market - currently $8.10 one-way - walk from there (compares with taxi ride around $50 with tip)
Get a 1, 3 or 7 day Muni passport for unlimited bus, metro, streetcar, and cable car rides throughout San Francisco (BART & Muni are separate systems)
